∞ Roots & Wings: A Deep Yoga Exploration Into the Inner Body ∞
w/ Molly Drake (bluesaturation.com) and Blake Tedder (blaketedder.net)
Carrboro Yoga Company – March 24. 2012
In this special workshop, two of our area’s most unconventional and daring yoga teachers Molly Drake and Blake Tedder collaborate to create the space for an unforgettable journey into yourself. Through their gentle, healing, and playful approaches to yoga, they will help youdeeply explore poses (or ‘un-poses’) offering ample time for fresh curiosity and insight to emerge. When we need it, the floor, walls, props, and each other will be our partners for rooting supportMolly and Blake both teach about radically emerging from the achievement mentality that can drain your yoga practice and your joy. Through this practice full of visualization, imagination and creativity, they will help guide you to more deeply connect with the awesome experience of the human body and condition, in all its challenge and beauty. Modern life can be flighty and ungrounded, causing us to easily shift out of ourselves and our bodies–sometimes we have a hard time even knowing what we feel. At the same time we long to be the free spirits that we truly are who want to live and express all the possibility of this life.Throughout this workshop our experience of rooting (grounding) will become more rich and palpable so that as our wings emerge and we feel the lightness in our being, we may stay connected to our humanity. Only then, rooted deeply in our humanity and our connection to this planet, can we explore the blissful freedom of our divinity.
Please bring hydration, a light snack, and a readiness to experience the experience.
